Wheel P4: Crack from Pure Ice and Sally Hansen

For today's Nail Wheel Wednesday, I am skipping way ahead in the alphabetical/numerical order to share some crack, as I know crack's popularity won't last forever, and it'll be a while before it comes back around as a hot new thing.

I'm slightly chagrined that this is nowhere near all my crack; I just haven't gotten around to swatching the other ones on wheels yet. I admit it; I have a crack problem. What about you—like it, over it, never cared for it in the first place?

  3. CRACK WHEEL. Sounds fun :P

I really am a bit over them but I still use them here and there bc they are like amateur nail art for me bc I can't do much else, haha.

LOVING that green #9. The only place I've seen Pure Ice is at the walmart and no cracks!

  4. That's a lot of crackle polishes! It's weird, but I actually don't own any crackle polishes. I think my favorites were the green ones you showed. :)

  5. I don't own a bottle of crack ;) haha. I did however try some of the sally hansen and pure ice crackle polishes out and like I stated on a blog that I previously posted that I am not in anyway impressed with sally hansens crackle polish and probably won't ever purchase a bottle of it (the sally hansen crackle polish) unless I am in love with the color.

  6. That is a lot of crackles! Would you believe I still don't even have one? :D

  7. You have so many crackles! That is awesome. I have a few. I am not a real big fan of them. But after seeing this, I might have to bust them out this weekend!

  9. I'm pleasantly surprised that Pure Ice cracked so well....my fave by far of those you showed anyway. I just picked up the OPI Breast Cancer pink shatter today and the gal said do you want another bottle, its only $5 and I said, nope, I think I'm at my crack limit. I'm happy with the crack I have.....and while I wore it a bit when it first came out or before it was readily available, I haven't worn it too much lately. But that lime green Pure Ice crack is calling my name....

  11. I like the green one, that'd be good for Halloween! Never really latched on tight to the crackles -- I've got a few but just never used them a bunch, though they definitely work out really nicely sometimes

  12. I fell in love with crackle when I first saw it online and ordered the black OPI Shatter, but I was quickly over it.. the silver and gold Sally Hansen crackle overcoats definitely give the trend a new look- those two are my favorite crackles and the two I think are worth keeping around. I also just gave in and bought OPI's Pink Shatter. I couldn't help myself! :p

  13. My favourite is 4,10 and 14. I like to use crakle mainly for half a nail or under glitter nail polishes:)

  14. Sorry Karen-but I hate the crack look and refuse to even buy any of it! As you know, I'm not flashy and live a simple creme life!

  15. Tell you the truth, I cannot make up my mind around crackles. Sometimes I'm so fed up with seeing them on blogosphere I don't even open the post about that mani and sometimes I love the combination so so much I want to buy the base and the crackle right away (if I don't have them yet anyway). Right now I'm wearing a crackle mani and I worship the combination, it's so poisonously gorgeous. So with a good combination I think crackle is a total win.

I just don't want any more crackle collections. We have them in all colours possible, it's enough. Still, I need a green one to be completely happy about my crackle collection.

  17. Thanks for the comments, ladies; crack gets people talking, it seems. :)

BeautyBehaved, sorry I just realized I didn't answer your question about which of the 2 brands I prefer. I have to give the edge to Pure Ice, I think: it cracks as well as SH and is less expensive & comes in more colors. I do like the SH bottle shape better, and it's more readily available; with coupons and sales it's not too much more expensive than the PI.

  18. *embarassed* I have probably 20 or so bottles of crack and I've never worn one, because I don't like the look! I am a crack hoarder for sure, though I have no idea why.
