Color Club Evolution and Pearl-spective

Today I've got two shades from Color Club which they sent for review. Both of these are from the Kaleidoscope collection for Spring/Summer 2013.

Evolution is a light blue creme. I swatched it at three coats, no topcoat.

Pearl-spective is a sheer shimmery topcoat. With a name like Pearl-spective, one might expect something pearlescent, but what one gets is microflakies. Nothing wrong with microflakies, and I suppose it's hard to come up with a punny name for flakies. The shimmer here is mostly pink, though the transluscent flakies also show yellow from some angles; the yellow is more visibile in photos compared to how it looks in real life. Here's one coat of Pearl-pestive over Evolution:

Bumping up Pearl-spective to two coats makes it more shimmery:

I wasn't really sold on Pearl-spective over the light blue, so I tried two coats of it over black. Ah hello, purple—that's more like it.

Over black, there were hints of multichrome in Pearl-spective that hadn't been obvious over the lighter color. I saw some peachy pink and dusty blue along with the purple as I moved my nails around.

I only have these two, but if you want to see the whole collection swatched, go visit Rebecca Likes Nails.
