Mega Multi-Swap Featuring Models Own

In the latter part of last year, I worked out a swap with Lucy of Lucy's Stash. Our packages to each other arrived in December, but I got so busy with work and getting ready for my ski trip (and then being on the ski trip) that I'm just getting to post the pretties she sent today. And there are many, many pretties—Lucy was a real sweetheart about tracking down a bunch of wish list items for me. Just look at all these bottles:

As usual, I had a hard time picking which to swatch first. I almost went with Once Upon a Time because it was winking at me with its holo glitter—see?



But I left the funky and fabulous string glitter in the bottle this time, since I knew from looking at swatches that it was best for layering and I wasn't wearing a compatible base color (and was too impatient to apply one at that moment). So I turned to another glitter, Models Own Purple Haze. I've also seen swatches of this, so why I didn't remember it was also better layered I can't say. I applied four coats and it was still too speckled-y for my taste. Fortunately, I have many polishes in my stash that I'm sure Purple Haze will get along with just swimmingly.



I couldn't leave it there, so I picked another Models Own to swatch next: Nude Beige.





This was opaque in two coats, and I was surprised at how much I liked it on. I'd originally thought this might be a good "underwear" color but I can see wearing it by itself when I want something elegant and classic on my tips.
