Wheels R1 and S1: Pink Shimmers

Before I proceed with this installment of Nail Wheel Wednesday, I wanted to let you all know it will be several days at least before I'll be contacting and announcing the winners of my 1st Blogiversary Giveaway; I need to validate the entries and make sure I've got the math right for everyone's chances before I get all random.org on it.

Also, Blogger restored my missing post from last Thursday, but in draft status, which I then added a note to and published. I'm going to wait a while longer before I give up on comments that were lost getting restored.

Today I've got two wheels of pink shimmers; there will be more in future weeks. The abundance of these and their creme counterparts is the reason I put myself on a no buy for pinks and reds, but I'm not doing 100% on that. I've gotten a some new ones because they came in a set, like the hot pink Revlon mini that was packaged with the dirty green I just had to have. Some I've bought individually to complete a set—I love complete sets (a trait I got from my dad), and knowing that I have all but one color from a collection
is a little itch in my brain that cries out to be scratched. A few I've gotten in swaps, which doesn't count as buying but increases my stash all the samme. Still, I think perhaps I've not acquired quite as many new pinks and reds as if I weren't on a "no" buy for them. Anyway, let's move on to today's display of my lack of self-control.

  5. Thanks, everyone!

love4lacquer, I buy these wheels from Transdesign, but I've heard of people finding similar ones on eBay (and some Sally Beauty stores carry a different style, too). The letters in the center are just a key for me to use to keep track of which wheel is which. I have a little notebook where I write down what colors I'm painting on the wheel and how many coats it take as I'm doing it, and the letter lets me match up the pictures and my notes to do an entry. (I also record the letter and number from the wheel in my stash spreadsheet, though I'm way behind in doing that.)

Thank you for reading and commenting! I greatly appreciate knowing I'm not just talking to myself here. :) I'm moderating most comments now due to the spate of spammers who claim to be looking for sexy times.
