Wheel O3: Red Violet Shimmers

In preparing for this edition of Nail Wheel Wednesday, I realized that last week's was a triumph of disorganization—I'd shared that wheel before. Ooops. That's what happens when I get out of my routine. I double checked this time, as well as made a spreadsheet to keep track from now on, and this wheel has definitely not seen the light of the internet before today.

1. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Lavender Envy (3 coats)
2. Ulta Professional Bouquet Toss (3) [another Ulta I wish they'd put out in a full size]
3. Sally Hansen Beyond Perfect Fresh Lavender (4) [great blue glow; bet this would be good to layer]
4. Maybelline Express Finish Lilac Luster (3)
5. Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Lavender Marquis (3)
6. GOSH Metallic Purple (2)
7. Catrice Let's Mauve On (3) [could have used 2 coats, but I was on a roll]
8. Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Posh Frost (3)
9. Revlon Top Speed Orchid (2)
10. Essie China Doll (3)
11. Borghese Giardino Heather (3)
12. China Glaze Anklets of Amethyst (3) [mmm, sparkly]
13. Cover Girl NailSlicks Plum Frost (2) [refreshingly non-brushstrokey for something called "frost"]
14. OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Suede (2) [so much more interesting than the non-suede version]
15. Pure Ice Purple Reign (3) [nice warm shimmer]
16. Oke Doke Purple Nurple (3)
17. New York Summer Poppies (2) [pretty glow to this one]
18. Cover Girl NailSlicks Plum Fairy (3)
19. P2 Color Victim Rich (2)
20. Sally Hansen Insta Dri Uptempo Plum (2)

15 through 20:

Another view of the P2 because the shimmer is just so pretty with the lilac and pink pops (the Oke Doke is surprisingly similar, but I didn't have as good a shot of it):

Looking just at these colors, I see a few I could probably let go of. 1 and 3 are similar—light pink with a greenish or blueish glow—3 gets the nod because I like the bottle better. Same story with 5 and 8; 5 wins because it's less frosty (though I do like the old school look of 8's bottle with the matching handle). 9 through 11 are essentially the same color, though the shimmer; I like the flecked shimmer of 9 and 10 better than the smoother look of 11, but between 9 and 10 I'm torn—Essie bottle is better, but the Revlon takes fewer coats. I can see that I probably don't need 18, 19, AND 20, but I can make a case for each of them. 18—delicate scattered silver shimmer. 19—multi-colored shimmer. 20—stamping (not that I've had time to do any lately, but I could potentially start up again any time). Choosing is hard.

  2. I like China Glaze Anklets of Amethyst. I have two bottles of it, one old and a newer one, and the colour is slightly different.
