Dermelect ME Moxie and Renegade

Dermelect sent for review two of the colors from the Dermelect ME Fearless Beauty collection, which was created in collaboration with Karie Frost of Fear No Beauty. Dermelect is in the "cosmeceuticals" business, so these polishes are touted as anti-aging. Per the Dermelect website, they are peptide-infused, not testing on animals, and free of DBP, toluene, and formaldehyde.

The two colors I got were Renegade, a sea green, and Moxie, a pink; they're both cremes. They arrived packaged in plastic "pillows".

I tried Moxie first. The formula was a tiny bit runny; I needed three coats for full coverage. It was plenty shiny even without topcoat.

I used three coats of Renegade, but could probably have stopped at two, as it was a bit better behaved than Moxie.

Even though I am probably in the target market for these, being older than your average nail blogger, the anti-aging benefits are not a big selling point for me, since I crave variety and don't use any one brand of color consistently enough to allow the ingredients to work. An anti-aging treatment base, sure, I'd use that, especially if it'd help my peelies.

These polishes retail for $14 per .4 oz bottle. You can get them directly from the Dermelect website. Right now until May 20th, you can use code FEARLESS to get 20% off the colors in this collection: Moxie, Renegade, Buzz-worthy (yellow creme), and Fearless (blue creme). You can also enter to win the collection plus a ridge filler base between now and May 19th (continental US residents only); for the details of this nail art contest, go to Fear No Beauty.

The polishes shown in this entry were provided free for review purposes. The content of the entry was not dictated by the provider.
