Wheel X15: Glitters from Smitten Polish

Today I've got a wheel full of glitters from Smitten Polish from early in the indie polish era. Smitten is still around and putting out lovely polishes, though the brand is called Dreamland Lacquer now. I think most of these are from around 2012/2013. The Smitten Polish Facebook group is gone, so I can't look them up there.

1. Smitten Polish Spice Cake (2 coats) [I think the base in this has darkened over time but not sure]
2. Smitten Polish Fire and Blood (3)
3. Smitten Polish Ladybird (2)
4. Smitten Polish Verbena (3)
5. Smitten Polish Capitana El Rubi (2)

Wheel H10: Glitters from Smitten Polish

Today Nail Wheel Wednesday takes a walk down memory lane to a time when the brand we now know as Dreamland Lacquer was still called Smitten Polish. To the early days of Smitten, even, when the polishes came in what I think of as the starter indie bottle, squat and round, and the labels were printed on paper, not clear plastic as they would be later in Smitten's history. My retirement budget doesn't allow me to buy as many indies as I once did, so I treasure even more the ones I do have in my stash.

2. Smitten Polish Nerds Redux

Wheel D9: Holos from Smitten Polish

Back when I had a job and bought more polish than I do now, which was also back when I was better able to keep up with indies, Smitten Polish was one of my go to brands. Smitten is now Dreamland Lacquer, but all of the shades on today's wheels are from before that rebranding, and they're all holographics I grabbed to swatch when I happened to be in my studio on a sunny day.

Above was in the lightbox as per usual; I just had to hold it up near the window and get a sun shot, too:

(all are two coats)
