Candie's Nail Polish

Today I've got swatches of some of the Candie's polishes I picked up at Kohl's a while back. I believe this brand is a Kohl's exclusive; I've certainly never seen them anywhere else. The cap on these is unlike any others in my stash; it's a sort of tall crown shape, flared at the top, in a rosy metallic shade—very pretty.

The first color I tried was Peri-twinkle, which is a creme and thus does not actually twinkle. It's a vivid purple-leaning blue.

I used two coats, and it's plenty shiny without topcoat.

Next I added one of the glitters, White Noise. This has iridescent bar glitter and small glitter in a clear base. I used two coats of it to get the coverage shown. This is also without topcoat.

To sample a shimmer, I chose Royal Navy, a deep blue. Two coats, no topcoat.

This stayed blue even in low light:

I save the most intriguing for last—a multi glitter called Over the Rainbow. I put one coat of this, plus topcoat, over Royal Navy. It's a mix of hex and small glitter in a really interesting color palette dominated by silver, gold, copper, pink, and green. As much polish as I have, I can't think of another one like this in my stash.

I bought these with one of the coupons that get mailed to me as a Kohl's charge customer; regular retail for these is $8 per 10ml bottle, but right now they're on sale on the Kohl's site for $5.99 (and $17.99 for some 4-piece sets in different bottles) . Plus now through March 9th you can get 10% off that with a code that the company was nice enough to give me to share: TENFORBLOG. I wasn't able to stack that with my regular Kohl's sale code, but perhaps I was just doing it wrong. If you want to jump right to Peri-Twinkle, it's here under Candie's Smooth Nail Polish. Royal Navy is listed under Candie's Metallic Nail Polish, and White Noise and Over the Rainbow are in Candie's Glitter Nail Polish.

  1. Ohhh interesting. I might pick them up if they were on sale or I had coupons and/or shopped at Kohl's. I feel like with twinkle in the name there should be some twinkling involved lol. I think they are pretty though lol

    1. sheatatum, sorry for the delay in replying--I kept forgetting when I was home with my stash. I grabbed a bottle and brought it with me today--the back of the bottle says "Made in USA" and "Manufactured for Maesa". I hadn't heard of that company, but Google tells me they're behind Drew Barrymore's Flower cosmetics line for WalMart.
