Butter London: All Hail the Queen

All Hail the Queen (formerly called All Hail McQueen) is a taupe shimmer with a smattering of fine holo particles. I had trouble coaxing the holo to show in normal light.

I used three coats of this one. It was almost okay with just two but I thought I saw some spots that needed more coverage—it's hard to tell with something that blends so well with my skintone.

  2. I like this polish. It's a neutral without being boring.
    What's with the name changing?

  5. This is a lemming for me! Just wished I bought it when it still was named All Hail McQueen.

I think the name change had something to do with copyright issues or something similar. Or bad rep using McQueen's name after his death.

  6. I have this with the McQueen sticker...I had no idea they changed the name. That is kind of lame. :(

  7. The more I see Butter London lacquers swatched the more I'm interested in them. I love a "shy" holo like this and a beautiful albeit somewhat unusual color. Looks excellent on you.

  13. Thanks, ladies! I've no idea why they changed the name and the BL website isn't saying. I'm thinking nailspotting was right when she speculated it was a legal issue.

  14. Very pretty! I quite like that the holo is subtle. This is a safe neutral in disguise.
