China Glaze Agro vs. Peace on Earth

Today's comparison is for the lovely author of Fingers Polish Mania, who is one of my bestest nail blog friends. I've never met her in person, and have only seen a sliver of her face in a photo once, but given how we trade silly comments on our blogs I bet we'll have great fun if we ever happen to be in the same place at the same time. I feel that way about a lot of you all; maybe we need to plan a convention or something. Back to the comparison: China Glaze Agro from the recent Hunger Games collection and Peace on Earth from 2010's holiday release.

Here's Agro alone; I used two coats but almost didn't need the second one it was so pigmented.





Here's Peace on Earth; it was a solid two-coater for me.





And here they are together; top to bottom, it's Agro, Peace on Earth, Agro, Peace on Earth.



Left to right below: Peace on Earth, Agro, Peace on Earth, Agro.



These are closely related, with Agro being somewhat darker. I liked Agro's formula more, but that might just be my particular bottles.

My first ever poll is closed (I kept the time period short since I was just trying out the feature). Here's how it came out:

Regarding full collections—
67% of voters like to see all the polishes in one post
22% like to see no more than 3 or 4 polishes in a post
7% like to see one polish at a time
2% like something else

Since my inclination is to jam all the polishes in one post, I'll probably keep doing that. I might split off the experiments into their own post, so do one with just straight swatches and another with whatever layering or stamping or whatever I was inspired to do after I swatched.

    ohhh a convention would be FUN! Can Bruce come too? :) He can be entertainment.

    Ahhh I would love a convention! That would be tooo much fun.

    And the comparison is really great! I'm borderline enraged though because I just got Peace on Earth after putting it off forever, but I like Agro better. *smashes PoE with a mighty fist*

    Oooh I prefer Agro too, it's a nicer colour, I like a darker green more flattering on me but they both look great on you!

    A polish convention would be fantastical!! SO MUCH POLISH LOVE!!

    I don't have Peace on Earth but I do have Agro, and I think I prefer it since it's darker. Great comparison :-)

    I love Agro, the shimmer in it is gorgeous. I don't have Peace on Earth, and it appears that I won't be needing it since these two are close enough to be dupes in my book!

    I think I have to go with everyone else and say I like Argo better :)

    A convention sounds like fun. George and I can bring baked goods and a brisket. Because nothing screams nail polish convention like sweets, and a hunk of meat. Sorry, I've got brisket and cupcakes on the brain...

I think a polish convention would be really sweet! I love how we comment on each other!!! I think we'd have fun if we should ever meet!!

    Oh wow! I didn't realise they were so similar. I wouldn't call POE something I really wanted, but it was one of those polishes where if I ever saw it for a good price I would pick up. Now I think I will just pass on it all together seeing as I have Argo.
    And yes Convention!!!! :)
