Recent NOTD: Sally Hansen Vital Violet

Sally Hansen lover that I am, I have fairly few from the Maximum Growth line. Vital Violet is a mauve-y frost. It went on smoothly and the brushstrokes settled nicely, but it stayed dentable for way longer than I'd like, even with my usual fast dry top coat. I do like the color, though, not quite neutral but not too flashy for work meetings.

I have no recollection of when or where I got this, which I think may be a bad sign. Of what, I'm not sure. Too many bouts of hauling frenzy? My brain running out of room to store information?

  2. That's a lovely colour. It's sensible, but still very pretty.

  6. are you nails growing longer with the max. growing formula? I guess it's hard to tell since we remove our polishes so often.

I am using nubar nu nail strengthener as a base coat and the instructions were to apply one layer of it everyday for 7 days... um..that's having naked nails for a week..no way. i'm cant not wear nail polish. I'm assuming this sally hansen instructions was to keep this polish on for at least a week.

btw karen did you change the layout to you blog? on your front page, instead of showing a post + picture... there's a list of links to all your posts and then we have to click on the link to get to the post with pictures

  7. Thanks, everyone!

shortwidenails, you're right; I didn't wear this long enough to notice a difference. I have done the "new coat every day" treatments from time to time to give my nails a break from acetone but unfortunately what seems to work best is leaving them alone and not typing all day--they did great when I was on vacation.

As far as the layout, I replied on your blog, but in case anyone else is having the same problem, please let me know what browser & URL/path you're using, as I'm not seeing this and haven't made changes so the more info. I can get the better as far as putting it right.
