Straight Outta Comments

Today I have some comparisons inspired by comments on earlier entries here. When I shared my Joe Fresh Fig NOTD, Lacquerware for Tips and Toes wondered how it compared to OPI Done Out in Deco and Nihrida said it reminded her of China Glaze Channelesque. I had every intention of doing a comparison between Fig and the other two, but when it came time to pull the polishes from the drawers, I grabbed Parlez Vous OPI instead of Done Out in Deco and poor DoiD didn't get in on the comp. Oops. I did later take this blurry bottle pic of Fig and DoiD (why blurry? I have no idea, all the shots I took of that pair came out that way), which shows DoiD is similarly dusty but lighter and a touch cooler than Fig.

Top to bottom: Parlez Vous OPI, Fig, Channelesque, Fig.

Parlez Vous is just a touch dustier and cooler than Fig, but they're really quite close. Channelesque is noticeably browner than either of the other two, though it's definitely got the same feel to it.

A couple weeks before Fig, I wore Sally Hansen Grape Going, and Joan (who doesn't have a blog as far as I know—Joan, if you do, clue me in!) thought it looked like it might be close to China Glaze Coconut Kiss, which I happen to have in my purple collection so it was just a matter of time before I could do a comparison swatch.

These two have a similar base color, a warm purple, though the Sally Hansen adds so much blue shimmer to that base that they end up looking rather different on the nail.

If there's ever anything you'd like to see in the way of swatches or comparisons, I'm always up for suggestions, though, as you see, my response time might not be the swiftest!

In other reader-related business, I wanted to thank Emy of Polishing Ever After and xnosugaraddedx of little green heart for tagging me recently. Since I've already regaled you all with my four and then things, I won't subject you to that again so soon, but I did want to let these ladies know I appreciate the acknowledgement!

Thank you for reading and commenting! I greatly appreciate knowing I'm not just talking to myself here. :) I'm moderating most comments now due to the spate of spammers who claim to be looking for sexy times.
